Public Services
People of all faiths and religious affiliations are welcome to use and enjoy our facility.
It is a common misconception that the records we hold are only of those who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
On the contrary, it is our goal to preserve any record that may be worthy of preservation and make it available to the public.
Our staff of volunteers are always on hand to help you learn anything from basic to advanced genealogy. They are happy to assist both beginners as well as seasoned genealogists.
Group events
School classes, scouts, church classes, community groups, etc., are all welcome to use our facilities. In addition, our computer classroom is available for reservation. Please call to schedule group activities with the Family History Center.
Our center offers:
• Microfiche and Microfilm Readers
• Computer Research room with computers linked to high-speed Internet.
• Computer Classroom available for training classes with computers linked to high speed Internet.
• Microfilm-Microfiche digital scanner, computer with disc burning and jump drive capacity, color printers.
Our Facility

Reception is an important part of our Family History Facility. Not only do we aim to welcome, help and direct our visitors, but the reception desk displays a wealth of information with genealogical flyers and class schedules.

The study room is large enough to accommodate many visitors or group events by reservation. We have a good selection of helpful books and records to assist with your research needs.

The classroom has a large projection screen and eight computer stations for hands-on learning. From basic computer functions to advanced genealogy, our classes help you comprehend each step along the way.

In the Research Room, you can access any genealogical website free of charge including Ancestry.com and RootsWeb.com - these are services that would otherwise require personal payment.

The Reading Room contains several readers and catalogued microfilm for your research needs.
